This beautiful 1955 Stratocaster has had a body refinish in blond and sports an 8/54 body; neck is dated 11/55 and pots are dated 17th week of 1955. I bought this guitar from Chicago Music Exchange, at which time it had repro Mary Kaye hardware, plastic and repro electronics. I have copies of my correspondence and pictures with Chicago in the picture gallery. Chicago advised that a good friend of their shop did the refin and provided a copy of the body date before it was apparently refinished (see pics). As per Chicago, decal is original. After I received the guitar, I replaced all electronics, plastic (bakelite pu covers and knobs) and the pickguard with correct 55 parts. Bridge and saddles are correct; only parts that are repro are the tuners. The guitar is stunning and a featherweight at 6 lbs 9.8 oz.
