Comins Custom 17” Archtop - 2017 Violin Burst with custom Calton case

I hate to let her go, but I can’t afford to keep her anymore. this is an AMAZING fully-carved custom archtop (I’m the second owner) and is in beautiful condition. AAAA flamed maple back and sides with carved spruce top and macassar ebony appointments all around (including pickup casing!) 25” scale with 1 11/16” nut. 3” sides and Custom Lindy Fralin 12 pole pickup with coil-tap switch and volume and tone pots. a breeze to play. It’s a dream to play with rich acoustic sound and creamy smooth plugged in. Bill Comins is a master at what he can create. Own this for thousands less than a new one! For anyone interested, I can email/text a couple of recordings: mic‘d acoustic and plugged into my Victorilux.

NOTE2: The only thing keeping this from being in mint condition is a faint, hairline finish crack (ONLY in the finish) on the top, lower bout near the tailpiece. Bill has seen it and is certain it is stable and actually recommended not to address it...so I haven’t. It’s barely noticeable anyway. I have included pictures to try and capture it. It is priced accordingly.

NOTE3: on the back of the headstock I have a Thalia “pick puck” attached in beautiful rosewood to match the rear headstock overlay. I love it…I always have a pick handy. Don’t worry, it doesn’t use any standard adhesive, rather it attaches via “micro-suction” and is therefore fully removable without any effect on the finish. I will remove it upon sale and send an image of the headstock to prove all is well before accepting the payment.
