Steam Punk Les Paul

Stunningly beautiful, smooth playing. The guitar comes with a bigsby style tremolo and a roller bridge. The pickups are some sweet sounding Gibson Burstbuckers. One of the tone pots has been converted to an on-board 5-position active preamp, which ranges from a subtle clean mid-boost, to growly overdrive, to full-on garden weasel. The preamp is powered by a 9 volt battery secured in the electronics cavity. The finish is a two-art acrylic paint:  the first coat has copper and iron embedded in the paint, while the second coat oxidizes the metal. The finish is accented by copper roofing nails, a copper pick guard, and distressed metal pickup rings and covers. The guitar has had a full setup, including a fret level and polish, and adjustments to the nut, bridge height, intonation, and relief. The input jack is a bit stiff, but fully functional.  It will be ready to play out of the box.

Notes on construction:  The guitar is a partscaster that was assembled by a local luthier with two decades of experience building guitars, basses, and mandolins from scratch, as well as assembling guitars and repairing instruments and amps.  She has a professionally stocked shop, and the guitar was assembled using parts from several guitars, as well as new material. She works with a trained electrical engineer, who does the wiring.  The guitar was originally built to play in one of her many bands, but has only been used a dozen times or so.  It is in excellent condition.
