SURF's UPPPPP!
For sale here is a partscaster I built using parts I have acquired in m....CONFESSION TIME. I did not build this one. I merely tweaked the final set up. This project was designed and built by our resident effects savant, the official Pedal Boy® himself: Jakey Kroll.
If you don't follow my Instagram, you don't know, but Jake is my apprentice. He has been working with me fixing up guitars for the last several months...and I must say, he is getting to be quite the competent guitar tech. This thing plays and feels great, made from parts from the Jack's Guitarcheology parts stashe®.
Jakey was left alone in the shop while I manned the store, and this project is the result.
Here is what he used to build this beaut':
The body and neck are from a Squier Mustang HH from the last 5-10 years or so. The pickups are GFS P-90 style humbuckers, older stock, from 10+ years ago. This guitar has a vintage Sprague capacitor, so it has a wide expression of tonal range. There Bigz-Style tremolo from Kaish, it works great. We paired it with some upgraded roller saddles that GREATLY improve the tuning stability.
Overall this is Jake's best work to date, this is one smooth playing guitar.
As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action low and smooth. This guitar has no case or gig bag, but I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.
Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
