Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a very unique and somewhat rare microphone from the 1960's sold by Roberts with Great sound quality and sold with it's original desk stand.

This Japanese mic is an all metal design being ultra lite weight but having a very strong output at what I would describe as Medium tone in sound. It does have a just a bit of bass to it though it's set at high impedance. It's frequency response is 40 - 15000 CPS. This would make a great mic for recording, general broadcasting or singing purposes.

It should be noted right away that you will need to locate a 2 pin Japanese cable in order to operate this microphone which actually not that easy to come by. That's the catch. The cables are hard to come by because they are so specific to just a few microphone models.

This is the No 3811 model. Roberts seemed to have only made these microphones for about 10 years or so but this was one of their better mics.

As you can see in the pictures provided this mic has very lite wear. There are just a few lite scratches and nicks in the black painted handle but no corrosion or dents in the mic and the screen is free of any deformation. The Roberts insignia on the front screen looks very nice as well. The mic itself is appx 6 1/4 inches long X 1 1/4 inch wide. It's an all metal body with the stock flat black paint scheme and satin chrome front grill.

I try to provide the clearest pictures possible so you know exactly what you're getting.

I would rate this mic a conservative 8 + physically on a scale of 1 - 10. The mic comes with the original detachable chrome clip that works perfectly and gives you the right amount of angle needed. The mic clip will fit on any American desk or floor stand as well if you don't care for using the short stock stand provided.

Mic will screw onto any floor stand and boom arm as well.

There is an original stand / base included as seen in the rest of the pics. It's a solid brass piece with satin chrome finish and in very nice condition. It provides a very stable platform and raises the mic up just a bit.  The stand has a nice felt bottom liner to protect and surface it sits on.

If you like to collect obscure and unique Japanese microphones that you can actually use...this might just be for you. Again, just needs a cable.

As with all my vintage microphones...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the original purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS ARE WELCOME as well. I have had problems recently collecting on payment for items sold so PLEASE do not purchase this item unless you are capable of paying within 24 hours. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
