This vintage horn came to us through an estate sale. It has been totally refurbished, pads, corks and felts and is in playing condition. It needs some braking in - be played. It was gently polished, you can see in the pics the silver is getting sparse. The bell is still shiny, has nice engraving, and the gold washed rim adds a touch of beauty. There have been no major repairs, no dents or warps. The pearls are original, as is the neck plug. The case is new, good fiberglass. Conn's microtuner is another nice touch.
The serial # 138615 Please check out the 2nd pic of the stamp. I am not an expert of vintage horns and can only guess at the age. There seem to be many different opinions on dating.
