1996 Orville Les Paul RARE Matching Quilt Top Headstock USA Gibson Pickups Grover Tuners w/HSC 8.5 LBS

For sale: one used Orville (Gibson’s Japanese market line) Les Paul in a SUPER-RARE foto quilt top — with MATCHING headstock! Tuners upgraded to Grover locking units, pickups are now Gibson 490R and 498T. Electronics function properly and were upgraded to CTS 500k audio pots for volume, 500k CTS No-Load potentiometers for tone (out of the circuit when dialed to ‘10’), Switchcraft jack and switch, and cloth wiring. Minor fret wear if any but no dead nor buzzy frets. Some wear on fretboard from having the inlays re-glued. Shows scuffs, nicks, scratches, dings, etc. True THICK maple top with foto quilt veneer and long neck tenon. Headstock veneer is bubbling/pulling off in spots. Neck is 7/8” thick at 1st fret, 31/32” thick at 12th — not thick like a ‘50s nor thin like a ‘60s…in the middle like a ‘70s. 1-11/16” nut width. Strung with D’Addario 10s 06/09/22. Weighs 8.5 pounds. Includes hard shell case.
