"Memory Liberator" no battery F-RAM upgrade for Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 2.0 and 3.0

The Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 2 normally uses eight (8) RAM chips to hold program memory, which are out of production and increasingly difficult to find. In addition, a problem with just one of them can cause serious functional issues with the synth, and the bad chip can be difficult and tedious to narrow down because there are so many of them!

Our Memory Liberator board is a battery eliminator module that replaces ALL EIGHT of the original RAMs with the single modern ferroelectric RAM chip housed on our board.

This retrofit does require soldering of 2 wires to install and will come with a link to detailed instructions with full-color photos.

This retrofit can be used for Rev.s 2, 3.0 and 3.1– install instructions for other versions will be coming soon. If your Prophet 5 is a Rev 3.3 (i.e., with factory MIDI) you will need  that you can find in our shop.
