~ Style O GERMAN SILVER 14 Fret 2024 Single Cone $4950

Note: this guitar is on order and should be in stock April 2024. Please enquire before buying!

This is the guitar Mark Knopfler made famous on the cover of Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" album. This Style O 14 Fret has a GERMAN SILVER body with mirror nickel finish, and it's own sandblasted, etched tropical scenes of two palm trees on the front and back, the same design from when it was first introduced in the 1930s. Chicken feet coverplate. Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays and Ivoroid binding, with National banner inlaid in the solid peghead headstock. Rock Maple neck with nice soft V profile at the back of the nut, that quickly goes to a soft C profile.

Loads of reverberation and sparkle. Fantastic super-shiny iconic look and feel. German Silver has a smoother quality overall, compared to brass, with deeper lows and low mids, and a smoother high end. German Silver is the original body material of the first metal Nationals of the late 1920s.

Also ask me about shipping! I will only charge actual shipping costs , please enquire.

Thanks. Feel free to get in touch anytime, I appreciate it!

yours, Catfish Keith
