Summary: Best known for their iconic Tuck and Roll amplifiers, Kustom briefly produced a line of guitars and basses. Made in 1968 and 1969, these unique and rare instruments featured a semi-hollow body of unusual design—the front and back were made separately, hollowed out, then joined together. They have been called the love-child of a Mosrite and a Rickenbacker.

Body: Sandwiched (2-piece) book-matched semi-hollowbody maple body construction. Single “cat’s eye” hole. Cherry red finish.

Neck: Two piece maple bolt-on neck. Rosewood fingerboard with zero fret and a unique dot inlay pattern. Factory screw-mounted metal nut. Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with clover metal buttons. 1 9/16” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: Two DynaSonic DeArmond single-coil pickups. Compensated bridge. Top-mounted reverse trapeze tailpiece. Two volume and two tone controls with chrome insert black fluted 7-point knobs, 3-way selector switch, black plastic pick guard.

Cosmetics: This vintage guitar is in very good condition. There is some light crazing, scratching and finish wear. This guitar has fabulous small checking happening all over the body and it looks awesome! The neck has a few dings and nicks on the back. The frets are in excellent condition. This guitar does have lots of buckle wear on the back and some dings on the top, all of which is consistent with a guitar from the 1960's. Overall this guitar is in great structurally sound condition.

Playability: This neck is very, very thin. The action is low and play is very smooth up and down the neck. This guitar plays with no buzz or dead spots! The tone dished out by the two DeArmonds is transparent and warm.

Weight: 6 lbs, 6 oz.

Case: Original hard shell.
