Crazy light weight, 4lb 14oz, with incredible tone.

Ampcase works fine, but these are potentially dangerous because there is no isolation transformer, even though millions of kids played these, I included, but the amp is basically just a collectors item, shouldn't be played without some tech work to make it safe, otherwise these are great sounding low wattage Class A amps with smooth natural breakup. Has all original Silvertone tubes.

The ampcase had a wonderful old tube/radio smell, hasn't been Febrezed in some psycho modern day attempt to "deodorize" it with some kind of horrid toxic spray. In this day and age, that is a rarity in itself. The case is in better than average condition with corners intact, grille cloth in good shape, and all 8 case feet present. All case latches, hinges and handle are in good condition.

Pre "Skate Key" tuners. These are wonderful Waverly's, great quality, no mismatched gear screws or parts, and they work in REVERSE of most bass side tune which tune up counterclockwise, these tune up clockwise, takes a little getting used to.

Tuning stability is very good, the guitar has an older set of GHS Nickel Rockers 10-46 and just "snaps into tune" at A = 440Hz.

Frets are gorgeous and have had the "fret sprout" trimmed off very nicely. Brazilian Rosewood "Slab Board".

Has a "Tilt Neck" feature that Danelectro invented, fabulous feature that lets you set neck angle on the fly as needed.
The lipstick pickup sounds very strong, the lipstick case halves aren't perfectly lined up, the treble side is raised up a little as can  be seen in the pics.

Pots are smooth and totally quiet. The pots are reversed from modern standards, tone is closer to the pickup, volume further away.
The lower pickguard screw isn't original but obviously an old replacement. Both pickup screws are original.
The ferrous - magnet sticks to it - chromed steel bridge saddle is most unusual, can't even find a pic of another on the net, and sounds awesome. After swapping it out for the usual Rosewood saddle, I swapped the steel saddle back in, sounds better, harder, more metallic.
There are a scratches below the bridge, as seen in pic where it's more visible, as well as the typical "case rash" at lower edge of body, the same scar on most all of these, it's from rubbing on the case and will be padded as to not get worse in transit.
Overall a super example of the fabled Danelectro/Silvertone amp in case guitar with a couple details to set it apart from the rest. Reverse Waverly tuners rather than the later is sometimes not very well liked "Skate Key" tuners, as well as the bridge saddle sets it apart from all others.
Has that Rain Song tone, really beautiful, collectable, playable.
