60's Teisco "Checkmate" 4 pickup electric. Although the headstock has the "Checkmate" logo, I do not believe it belongs on the guitar. Checkmate was made my Teisco but they were primarily acoustics and acoustic amplifiers. Nevertheless, this guitar is so cool, 4 pickups each with they're own on/off switch for any possible combination. And from what I can tell, a high pass filter. Volume and tone. A super awesome tremolo system that works flawlessly. Low action and I have just replaced the tuners with brand new ones from allparts because the originals were rusted and grimey.
