Spalt Instruments 'Le Dauphin' One of a Kind NAMM Show 2018

Michael Spalt, founder of Spalt Instruments in Vienna, Austria, created a masterpiece of a "guitar meets artwork" with 'Le Dauphin'. This is 'one of one'.
Proudly displayed at the 2018 NAMM show, this treasure incorporates the finest of natural materials, engineering finesse and artwork culminating in one of the most exquisite guitars I have had the pleasure to play, hold and behold. 
I was interviewing him in 2019 as pictured in the photo's with this guitar...taken by me during the interview. I quickly realized he was no ordinary guitar-maker/luthier/engineer. Michael's passion for perfection is exceeded only by his talents and expertise. Working closely with famed pickup masters, Lollar and Fralin, Michael Spalt honed his P-90 craft through the eighties and nineties. The results are the most iconic sounding pickups created since the 1950's. These sound heavenly.
Naturally, I bought this guitar!
His use of exotic woods from around the world were selected not only for their beauty...they resonate and sonically compliment the P90's. See the Declaration of Materials in the photos.  
The balance, weight and feel of the '59 shaped neck and board are a dream come true.
