Equipped with 4 Onyx microphone preamps, this sturdy 12-channel mixer lives up to the Mackie VLX series' reputation for low noise and wide dynamic range.
Take 12 Channels of Pro-Quality Mixing Power With You Anywhere
Give your mixing set-up a professional touch -- minus the encumbrance of a big, heavy mixing board-- with the Mackie 1202VLZ4. By including a host of high-end features while also maintaining a remarkably compact design, Mackie has created the perfect mixing solution for sound engineers who are on the move or have space constraints.
It Starts With the Onyx Preamps
The 1202VLZ4's four XLR/1/4" microphone input channels feature Mackie's lauded Onyx preamps, which produce clear, balanced, low-noise signal and can handle a very wide dynamic range. The mic input channels also include 3-band EQ, two Aux sends, phantom power, and a 75Hz Low-frequency Cut option.
8 Additional Line Inputs
Input channels 5-12 can be used as four stereo inputs, eight line inputs, or any combinations in between. These channels feature the same EQ and Aux sends as the mic channels. Finally, there's an RCA tape input for connecting external sound sources.
Plenty of Sends and Returns
The 1202VLZ4 boasts two 1/4" Auxiliary Sends and two Stereo Returns for bringing external audio effects like reverb, delay, and compression into your signal chain. For additional use of external gear, channels 1-4 have 1/4" Channel Inserts.
Lots of Output Options
Connect to your speakers using 1/4" or XLR Main Outs; the latter features a -10/+4dB attenuation switch for adjusting the output level. The back also features stereo Alt and Control Room outputs. Finally, there is an RCA Tape Out and Headphone out. The benefit of these output options is that you can create separate mixes for main speakers, monitors, and the control room.
Compact and Road-Ready
From the solid steel chassis to the durable high-contrast controls, Mackie built the 1202VLZ4 as a rugged, road-worthy mixer. And at a sub-10 lb. weight and carry-with-one-hand size, the 1202VLZ4 is remarkably portable and convenient for most types of gigs. For astounding sound quality packed into a rugged, compact mixer, the 1202VLZ4 is an excellent choice.
