Gibson / Ramírez (reverse engineered) by GIBSON Custom Shop Guitar only 3 made.

This guitar is basically a copy of the Ramirez 5237 as Gibson wanted to get into the Classical Guitar business and reversed engineered the Ramirez guitar. Due to Gibson's lack of reputation in the Classical guitar industry they decided to stick with what they know best. THIS IS A REALLY RARE ITEM! It Sounds and Plays like a dream.

This is a Gibson Roger Miller Artist Tribute Guitar Handcrafted by the Gibson Luthiers from Bozeman, Montana.  It is signed by the Luthiers involved.  Roger Dean Miller Sr. was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, widely known for his honky-tonk-influenced novelty songs and his chart-topping country and pop hits "King of the Road", "Dang Me", and "England Swings", all from the mid-1960s Nashville sound era.   He had 11 Grammy's, 7 Tony's, numerous Academy of Country Music Awards,  he is in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.  Only 3 of these were ever built and I've NEVER seen or heard of any others out there.  See the notes from Gibson below.

In 1994, our shop was very small and only a few builders were in our custom shop,-three of them on your label.

One of them was Gibson’s head luthier at the time - Ren Ferguson.

 I believe only a handful of these were ever built as a “pilot” to a limited edition .

We certainly did not build 56……as it was more like 3!

To my knowledge, this guitar also reflected our respect for the great Spanish nylon string builders with its traditional neck (approx. 2” width at nut), cedar top (I recall), Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard (I believe) and rosewood bridge.
