Up for sale is a circa 1970 Electro-Harmonix EH-2005 Screaming Bird, a true piece of Electro-Harmonix history and one of the earliest pedals from the company's formative years.

Long before high-gain pedals became commonplace, players discovered that a quality treble booster could transform a tube amplifier into a singing, harmonically rich overdrive machine. The Screaming Bird follows in that tradition, delivering a focused treble and volume boost that can push the front end of your favorite tube amp into glorious natural overdrive.

Think of the classic approach used by players such as Eric Clapton during the Bluesbreakers era—boosting the input of a cranked tube amp to achieve sustain, touch sensitivity, and rich harmonic content.

The demo video was recorded using a 1958 Stratocaster through a 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb. The amp starts with the volume just above 2 before being increased to around 4, demonstrating how effectively the Screaming Bird can wake up a tube amp.
