CUSTOM YAMAHA Model TRB-6 II 6 String Bass Guitar
This custom guitar is being sold for a friend who is downsizing his collection. This classic six string has been customized to allow the six string to be strung and tuned like a 6 string guitar. I has a custom brass nut that was installed by a qualified Luthier. The nut allows the guitar to be strung with 0.120 top E string instead of the stock B string while maintaining the very tight guitar like action. It is currently strung with strings ranging from the 0.120 to a 0.020 small E string and the bass is tuned like a guitar. The original Nylon nut is also included along with the Luthier's nots. The neck features a dual truss rod with a 6 bolt retaining pattern. The neck depth on this bass is shallow making it easier to play. This is a 24 fret double octave long scale 34" neck. The knob identification plate lays on the face and can easily be removed. The bass has the BADD ASS style bridge providing better sustain and punch. This bass was purchased new and played on a limited basis for a few specific songs in a studio environment.
