Padauk is an exotic wood common in the

equatorial rain forests. It ranges in color from a bright orange (sapwood) to a

deep crimson red (heartwood). It’s not only gorgeous, but also quite durable.

With a Janka Hardness of over 1900, it’s harder than most woods drums are made

of. This drum is bright, crisp and clean, esthetically and

acoustically. Full, clean crisp sound all the way through.
