The McIntyre ST-08 Transducer Disc Sitar Pickup is a full range, highly responsive pickup for Sitar and similar instruments. The prewired jack allows for easy installation, no drilling or soldering required.
The McIntyre ST-08 is a very natural sounding pickup specifically designed for Sitar. The pickup reproduces the subtle sounds and harmonics of this instrument, and is very easy to install with included external jack.
The output of this pickup is sufficient to drive an amplifier directly in most cases. If you are plugging into a mixer board or PA system or need to run the signal through effects pedals or other equipment, you may need a preamp to increase the signal strength to match that equipment. Preamp not included.
