1986 Jackson Pre-Production Soloist in platinum pink, in good condition for San Dimas era guitar, work order for this guitar dates it at August 1986, there is no serial in the last fret as it’s possibly an employee / artist build.
Specs:
Poplar sides
Maple neck through body
Platinum Pink finish
Ebony finger board
J100 single coil pickups in neck and middle position (Made in USA)
Seymour Duncan Duncan Custom (DCJ) humbucker in bridge (80’s pickup hand wound by Maricela Juarez)
Kahler Flyer cam tremolo in black (no arm)
Kahler locking nut
Replacement Sperzel locking tuners
Comes with original Jackson branded case from the 80’s, in good condition, although one of the latches is not working right
Some things to clarify:
1. Sperzel locking tuners - locking pin for the last couple of tuners do not work, so used as normal tuners rather than locking. but I can supply replacement sperzel locking pins, ive not got round to changing it yet as I’ve not had to change strings.
2. Neck pickup is dead and needs a rewind, im personally a bridge pickup guy so it hasn’t bothered me.
3. Locking nut has replacement screws (top and bottom screws are different colour)
4. I do get a lot of messages to say it’s a 84 - 85 soloist, but as per log book entry, the work order number is 1 digit below the work order for serial number J2364 which is why I believe it’s a 86
5. It’s a kahler flyer tremolo, no arm supplied
