Up for grabs is a Peavey Patriot bass from the 1980s (exact year unknown to me). I started my bass playing in the early 80s and did a little time on Peavey gear, it was really good and pretty affordable to me as a young player. It’s been years since I’ve played one professionally but this little workhorse comes from my collection of “teaching tools”. The condition is quite good for its age and it’s pretty solid in every regard.(It’s got little bumps and scuffs but otherwise clean)..... I do know the neck seems to need some adjustment and it’s not my strong suit. It appears straight but has a bit of a rumble or maybe fret buzz. (You don’t hear so much when plugged in) Having said that it still plays pretty darned good. I’ve set the price well below the middle recommended price range to reflect this as the buyers project. I can’t say wether the control knobs are after market (I’m thinking yes), but I do know that the little aluminum embellishments were added by an aircraft builder (previous owner)..... I’m primarily selling this to get into a bass that is better suited to my younger students (smaller hands), perhaps a cheap 3/4 scale model. This bass is really groovy looking for an affordable, now vintage, American made bass..... all in all a cool deal. Maybe this is your next bass / project? Or maybe you know a young player that this would light up? Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Have a rockin my good day!
