A small bodied acoustic with old-school vibe and tone! The Alvarez AP66 Parlor Acoustic Guitar gives you the great sound, look and feel of classic parlor-style acoustics of the 1920s. True to its roots, the AP66SHB is a 12-fret parlor guitar with a slotted headstock.
Unlike many smaller-bodied acoustics, its quarter-sawn, hand-sanded scalloped bracing is placed slightly forward (towards the soundhole) which allows the solid African mahogany top to resonate more freely. The result is an extremely strong, clear, articulate voice, with an incredible string-to-string balance that lends itself well to both fingerpicking and flatpicking, in standard or alternate tunings.
The brilliant high-gloss Shadowburst finish really shows off the beauty of the mahogany back & sides. Throw in a genuine bone nut & saddle, a killer factory setup, and a fit & finish that is unheard of at this price, and the AP66SHB just might wind up being your new favorite!
