Ups for sale is a mint condition D’Angelico Deluxe Limited Edition Semi-Hollow guitar in Rose Gold. This guitar was a limited edition guitar in 2020; #18 of 50 produced in 2020.
Seymour Duncan Seth Lover PAF style A4 pickups are as convincing a PAF style pickup as you'll find. Look these up and you'll see that these are top of the line pickups. Absolutely beautiful jazzy tone when set in the neck position and a little hotter in the bridge position. Telecaster tones are conjured when the bridge pickup is split creating tones reminiscent of Brad Paisley and Roy Buchanan. The split in the neck pickup is great for brightening up the tone a little, when needed, but of course, because this is a jazz guitar at its heart, the jazz tones are amazing. I run the guitar through an EL84 based tube amp and I get tones anywhere from John Scofield to Pat Metheny. Plus with the four way control knobs, you can blend the two pickups together to expand the tones options even more. The guitar is very responsive to the volume and tone controls. Ton of tone options available.
Additional details include an absolutely gorgeous mother of pearl block inlay on an Ebony fingerboard. Real ebony wood control knobs. D'Angelico Shield tremolo and Grover pin lock tuners.
Ships in mint condition D’Angelico hard shell case in original shipping box.
There aren't many of these on Reverb (with the tremolo). A Gibson 335 with these features (Ebony board, locking tuners, mother of pearl inlay) costs over 3k. Other guitars from other manufacturers that I've tried really don't even begin to compare to the feature set and playability of this guitar. Specifically, the tremolo is a rare thing to find on a 335 style guitar at this price point. I'm selling the guitar because I am getting away from music that requires a 335 style guitar and getting more into hard rock and progressive style music specifically Steve Hackett, Genesis and Yes.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have and let's talk! This is a great guitar and I've gone back and forth in wanting to sell it or not sell it (it's been on Reverb a few times now), but I am changing the music I play and the bands I play in. I want the guitar to go to a good home because it is such a beautiful guitar and is a steal for the money.
Thanks for looking.
