This is a brand new,"Build To Order" hand-wired Hairball 1176 "FET Rack" Revision A compressor. I usually have to build these units for you, but sometimes I have one is stock. Ask me.
It is also known as the 1176 "Blue Stripe", based on the famed UREI 1176 compressor designed by Bill Putnam in 1967.
The Rev A is sought-after for getting vocals out in front, with a nice mojo, that makes it very desirable. Also good with drums, bass, etc. Just try it and see what the subtle mojo of a Rev A can do for your track.
All soldering is done with WBT 4% Silver Solder.
I also use locking nuts on the ground connection to the enclosure and all the high voltage parts, so none of these parts come loose over time. On the 4-way switches and the circuit board I use Blue Locktite on the mounting screws, so they are secure and can't come loose over time.
The units are fully tested and meticulously calibrated, according to Hairball's calibration process, accurate to nearly a thousandth of a volt.
I usually have one stock, but I may need 2-3 weeks maximum to build you one and have it in your hands. Just ask me. It can be quicker than that most of the time.
This is the new Hairball design that they started producing in the Summer of 2016.
