FINAL SALE - NO RETURNS - THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A PLAYABLE PROJECT
See were honest folks, we don't hide ANYTHING in our descriptions. No Wisconsin Descriptions in our listings (See our About Us).
Here's the deal - We bought this on Reverb as an awesome playing bass that was just set up by a professional luthier. I knew something was wrong when a return label was attached to the bass. Well, this may have been the most over described bass on earth. We renegotiated the price and I was going to part the bass out but I didnt have the heart to do that.
Heres the bad - SOME MORON over tightened the rod and came up thru the neck at the first fret. Thankfully the board didnt hump, its flat, the split is small and its unobtrusive. The same MORON stripped the truss rod adjustment nut. Can it be fixed? Im not sure. Is the rod cranked, again - Im not sure - The truss rod nut needs to come off and replaced to make that call.
Heres the good - The body and everything on it works just fine and everything is original including the tuners and plate. Has wear, this bass has been gigged and has 1 chip (see photo) .. The bass is playable as the action is 6 to 7mm at the 12th fret but it has relief that needs to come out. The neck can be shimmed to get some height out.
Can a luthier or someone with good hands fix this - I believe so. Its not an amature fix. The split on the board is hair line and I know this can be clamped and glued and you shouldnt be able to see it or feel it. If you have a neck, your golden. The bass is from 1995. It does NOT ship with a case or bag but we will pack the heck out of it.
Please remember - this is being sold as a project so no returns, no refunds, no complaints.
