This Martin 0-16NY is a first edition, manufactured in it's first year of production. This guitar is in immaculate condition for it's age. This is a one owner guitar that was purchased new in '61.
The 0-16NY features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with a 1 7/8" nut and 2 5/16" at the 12th fret where the neck joins the body. The top of the body is braced very lightly with an X bracing. Slotted headstock and rectangular bridge.
(The 016-NY can be fitted with either steel or nylon strings.)
