This is the real deal -- 50-year-old guitar with tons of mojo -- and in incredible condition for the age! First the sound: all the sweetness and chime of the original mini-humbuckers and when you drive the amp -- sustain, and bite but with clarity. Huge, special sound!
Guitar is 1975 (verified with Gibson). All original parts except tuners -- I installed a set of Schallers years ago for tuning stability. Condition is just great -- a couple of small dings on front (in pics) and some light scratches on the back, but guitar has sat in a humidified closet for 20+ years -- it is NOT beat up like many other high-priced similar offerings. It has patina and style and a bit of aging, but neck is perfect, frets are very good -- this is just a super-sweet guitar. You know the specs -- this one is about the sound. An old, aged piece of Mahagony, a nice maple cap, and 50 year old PUs -- the guitar just sings. Blues, country, rock, jazz -- you can do it all with this one. It's like getting a time machine or Murphy lab guitar, but this is an original -- plays great, sounds great, looks great. No reissue will have this sound or vibe.
