Functionally perfect. A little rough around the edges, but not bad for something almost 40 years old that is intended to be stepped on.

A previous owner obviously left a battery in there too long. None of the white that you see comes off to the touch – it's baked into the pedal. I've attempted to remove/clean it with various bristly devices but it doesn't budge. I mean, that's good: nothing is going to come off on your hands. And, since it's on the inside, you'll forget it's there. It just seems that, in the interest of full disclosure, a clear photo and description is needed. (I have NOT attempted to snort it. You shouldn't either.)

You can also see that the rubber ring for the latch is deteriorating. That happens with all old Boss pedals. It doesn't affect function or feel at all.
