Summary
Finish: Lacquer, Black & White
Body/ Neck Material: Presumably Birch
Neck Profile: D
Fingerboard Radius: None, flat
Scale Length: 24”
Nut Width: 1 11/16”
Bridge: Presumably original, hardware is pulling up a bit on the bass side, but it seems to be holding. Wire crown of the bridge is popping up a bit on either side of the strings, could easily be replaced with a long piece of fret wire or whatever else one wanted to modify it with.
Hardware: Presumably original tuning machines
Case: Will ship in the pictured chipboard
Repairs/Modifications: Nothing is apparent
Neck Details: Neck looks plenty straight.
Action: Action is a bit under 1/4” all the way across the neck, measured at the 12th fret. It’s not low and the neck is chunky, so this one might be most ideal for slide playing, or playing mostly down in the cowboy chord area. The neck is a bolt-on, so it could definitely be a bit better with some crafty shimming.
Fret Wear: Visible but nothing crazy
General Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good! It’s old, but not too beat up.
Other Notes: Pretty neat little ladder braced Kay number here, probably best for slide playing unless you wanted to shim the bolt on neck up a bit, which is entirely possible. This one is going cheap and as-is so please read the whole listing and check out the photos if interested. Thanks for looking!
