Did you know that Alvarez made shredder electrics? Of course, you did. I, on the other hand, did not. When I think of Alvarez, I immediately think of acoustics. Hey, you can't be expected to know everything. Fans of the brand will recognize Alvarez as the maker of one of the most radical designs of the Superstrat era, the Dana Scoop. While this Alvarez does not have the crazy scoop, it does possess the same overall silhouette along with several other 1980's accoutrements: pointy, double double cutaway body with beveled edges, pointy 80's approved hockey stick headstock, tremolo, and a multi-pickup S-S-H configuration. This one is lightweight at 6.05 lb. and has a medium chunky neck. There are small dimples, impressions and light scratches all over the body. The frets, however, are in good condition with good height and not much wear. This is a fun, well built "hair era" Superstrat and an excellent way to get your feet wet with a pointy guitar without the price tag associated with more popular and recognizable brands.
