Hello Reverb Buyers!
I have a beautiful, super-solid, luthier built, Warmoth Jazz Bass with a wenge neck/ebony fingerboard, walnut body, Seymour Duncan Basslines Jazz bass pickups, Bartolini active electronics, Schaller hardware, and a Fender hard shell flight case for sale.
I picked this beauty up a couple weeks ago and really love the solid construction, balance, “Hi-fi” tone, and playability of it; however, my wife and I are about to close on the purchase of a new home, so I have decided to "thin the herd" and free-up some cash flow. ☹
As for the instrument's overall condition, this one is “Excellent.” There are no noticeable, scratches, marks, indentations, etc., that I can find anywhere on it. The neck is nice and straight, the action is very playable, and the intonation is great. Honestly, I really cannot find any issues with it—other than the fact that it is rather heavy to an old man like me (due to the walnut body/wenge neck combination).
According to the previous owner, this bass was, “Professionally built in 2015 by Luthier Roger Fritz and Fritz Brothers Guitars” and can certainly tell that this was not assembled and set-up by an amateur!
Electronically and functionally, the bass is in great working order. It plays great with low action. The neck is smooth and nice and straight. The intonation is good, and there are no sharp frets, etc. The active control pots and are smooth and not too noisy.
It’s pretty amazing how many different tones you can get with this one instrument! In a several ways, it reminds me a lot of the Warwick Thumb bass I used to own—but at a much more affordable price-point.
