Ludwig aluminum snare drum Super Sensitive model year 1969 (serial number on the keystone badge: 715575)
The chrome plating looks quite perfect in gloss and conservation. The drum is original in all its parts.
I don't spend time in describing the characteristics of the sound because Supersensitive is one of the foundations of twentieth century percussion.
I bought the drum in the early nineties. Always kept with great attention, I have never seen any so well preserved.
The serial number traces it back to 1969 but looking at the Ludwig catalogs, the Metallic protection around the Throw-off seems to be in production from the following year.
However, beyond the historical precision, it is a splendid instrument, a small jewel in terms of aesthetics and sound.

Non mi spendo sulle caratteristiche del suono perchè il Supersensitive è uno dei fondamenti delle percussioni del Novecento.
Ho comprato il tamburo nei primi anni Novanta. Sempre tenuto con grande attenzione, non ne ho mai visti così ben conservati.
Il numero di serie lo fa risalire al 1969 ma osservando i cataloghi della Ludwig, la protezione Metallica attorno al tendi cordiera, sembra in produzione dall’anno successivo.
Comunque, al di là della precisione storica, si tratta di uno strumento splendido, un piccolo gioiello per estetica e suono.
