AKG D320B Matched Stereo Pair of Dynamic Microphones — 1980s, Austria
Our users rate Reverb
Up for sale the matched pair of 1980's era AKG model D330B dynamic "hyper" cardioid microphones with outstanding sound characteristics and easily on par with any dynamic cardioid microphone you could possibly think of including the newer mics. This was a higher end model for AKG at that time and has a bass drop off switch adjustment set in the mics handle. This mic has an uber strong, warm tone, great results on guitar cabs, snare drums and vocals.
The mic is uni-directional and is great at cancelling out any background noise. Again...a superb mic for any live performance and worth every penny. They called this model the SM-58 killer as it was superior to the American made Shure mic.
The drop off switch on one of the microphones doesn't work, the microphone always sound with the filter turned off (that is, with full frequency response). In fact, this is not a big problem, since the same frequency drop can be done separately with an eq.
