A real beauty with an amazing tone! All original and in clean overall condition with only light cosmetic wear. All of the flaws are minor.
Serial # 864279 The serial number on the back of the headstock is extremely faint and I might have read a number wrong, If the numbers are correct this guitar is from 1967, but the specs are from 1966 including the neck joint at the 16th fret instead of the 19th, and the nice amber knobs instead of the hideous black knobs that came later. My best guess is this guitar is from early 1967
This guitar has been played, but not abused. There are numerous light scratches on the back from being played standing. It's not belt buckle gouges, but rather faint scratches left by buttons and such. There are a moderate amount of finish cracks, but they are not "crazed" and there's no chipping of the finish. The finish cracks are discreet and add to the patina.
The chrome hardware is clean except for some scratches at the top of the bridge pickup.
This guitar is a fabulous player with a comfortable ’60s medium profile neck that has excellent playability up the entire fretboard. The stock P-90 pickups have an incredibly warm sound and deliver a growling overdrive with a thick and cutting midrange. A fantastic vintage hollowbody! Includes original hardshell case.
