DCW Pedals Tradition Overdrive - Modified Tubescreamer Style Overdrive

Pedals become classics for a reason. The Ibanez Tubescreamer is the most popular pedal of all time, and it is also the framework for several other well-loved pedals. With the Tradition, I’m passing on the story with some of my favorite plot twists.
A lot of players like to leave the gain super low on a TS, and some wish it could get even cleaner, so I extended the gain range and adjusted the taper to allow better cleanup than a stock TS808. This is useful if you want the tone shaping aspect without additional drive. Some find the Tubescreamer to be "too compressed", while others love the way it clips and sustains. A toggle switch is added to the top of the pedal that will let you choose between symmetrical clipping (stock TS style) and asymmetrical clipping (Boss SD-1 style). Symmetrical will be smoother with warmer compression/sustain and asymmetrical will have more clarity, volume and high end content.
How about that mid boost? This is where guitarists are often split and many dismiss all TS pedals because a stock TS is too mid pushed for  their rig. The FAT knob allows you to cut, retain, or boost the low end fullness to fit your needs, which along with the Tone control, can make the mid frequencies sit right with a ton of amps. This will allow you to take that screamer sound and make it even bigger, or along with the clipping switch, achieve tones that a regular TS just can't get. This pedal is handwired for true bypass switching, comes with the 4558 chip and can be run from 9 to 18V.
