Simply put one of the most beautiful nightbirds i've owned--this is my last one and i'm only selling it because i recently purchased the holy grail--for me at least--of Guilds--the Nightingale and need to move some money around to afford that as well as the 60s jazzmaster i'm in the market for.
Part of its beauty is in its elegant simplicity--the spruce top--the passive humbuckers--i hate active pickups but tolerate them only on a few of the Nightbirds i've owned--the wonderful tobacco burst finish which is rare for a Nightbird--
It's freshly luthiered and optimized for immediate performance--it plays and sounds like a dream and it is in beautiful cosmetic condition with only light signs of play wear--there's one small ding on the bottom horn that is visible in one of the scans but other than that there's little signs of heavy use--it was play entirely by a sit down player--i am the second owner--frets are great and the ebony board is perfect.
These are the first Nightbirds--the ggs (George Gruhn) and i consider them the most fun to play and the best balanced and most beautiful of all the birds--though i do love them all there's something about these early ones--blues rock or jazz--this bird will do it all with an extravagance of grace and style.
thanks for looking
