Made at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo where the archtop guitar was born. We believe the current output from The Heritage Guitar Co. represents some of the finest guitars to ever come from that famous 100 year old address. While many of their archtop models display some flashiness in the form of bold inlays and ornate tailpieces, we liked the more austere look of the David Becker model. It is based on their fully carved H 575, but differs both cosmetically and in the fact that the Becker has a spruce top rather than maple. We selected the chestnut sunburst finish that looks stunning.
Other distinguishing features include a Seymour Duncan top mounted jazz pickup in the neck position and a passive LR Baggs transducer in the tuneamatic bridge, each with individual controls and toggle switch. This offers tremendous flexibilty of tones for an archtop guitar, all of them good. 24 & 3/4" scale length, 1 & 11/16" nut makes for an easy playing and comfortable guitar.
It has a robust acoustic sound with an uncommon chime that continues to please when plugged into an amp.
