This is a One of a Kind combo amp.. This is the Crate Rep amp and was the prototype before they were ever made in 1997. The Rep went around with this combo and got dealers interested in this New Hybrid amp. Tubes in the preamp and the output transisters were on a plate with IC Chips on the plate so when the plate heated up the IC Chips would imulate a output tube.
The other thing is this was the only one out at the time with 200 Watts. 200 Watts in a single 12 combo. I have powered four 4 X 12 cabs with the 12" in the combo and it sounds incredible. Used it on two gigs by it self on a tilt stand and it can get loud or soft or in between. All other of this combo are 100 watts. This combo even has the hotter preamp tubes in it for Hard Rock or Metal music. I have thrown in the original preamp tubes and I have a New original transformer of 100 Watts which I found years ago in case anything ever happened to this 200 watt transformer. This is a prototype and I have the head version, that came out in 1997, but does not sound or keep up with this one at all. The footswitch is included. Shipping is not included since this unit will cost to ship anywhere in the lower 48 states.
The unit looks brand new because of the cover and I have only used it on three gigs, when I was in California doing Rock-N Roll songs in a top 40 band. Made it easy to come to a show and this amp will cover any small or very large venue.
This is a collectors amp since it was a one off and they called it a 100 but this is the only 200 out there! Even makes great recordings in the studio, sound amazing!
People are asking how I know so much about this amp and know it is a prototype? I knew the Crate rep who had this in So. California. I was working a Mom and Pop music store at the time and he brought this amp in as his demo to try and fell in love with it.I got it from him when all the reps were done with it in 1996 before they made the amp in 1997 but they took it down to 100 watts for affordaable price point. So this is a one of a kind and would want someone to have it, I need the money for up and coming holidays for the Grandkids. I have dropped the price on this to a low and great value on this one of a kind amplifier. The watchers should jump on this now.
Got several offers on other sites, who ever wants this one of a kind amp in box me now. I need this to sell so i can get birthday gifts this week. This is a great price and the shipping is correct since this amp is heavy with the transformer it has to make it 200 watts and I am sending the original Transformer I had it just in case something happened to this one and found it and bought it, so it will add weight to this shipment, as well. Get it this week! Last Price on this collectable amp.
