I received this guitar new when I was a teenager in 1985 (or '86?) Anyway, I just don't play it much and while I hate to get rid of it, I need to make room. I replaced the bridge pickup long ago with a Seymour Duncan SH-1 but the original pickup has mysteriously hung around so I will include that as well. The tip of the tremolo arm has broken off but I bet you could find a replacement online if you care to; it certainly doesn't interfere with use. There is a ding or two on the headstock (captured in a photo). There are some dings around the edge of the body (captured in photos). There is a small surface crack in the finish on either side of the neck which is fairly common. The front of the guitar looks great so your fans will be impressed as you bring the rock with this beautiful Super Strat-style guitar. The tremolo spring cover is missing but I've ordered a replacement.
Oh yeah, I had an Earvana nut installed a few years ago. If you're not familiar, just search for Earvana online; I'm a fan.
The original hardshell case is included. It has plenty of exterior scratches but is structurally as new.
Finally, depending on your location, we can adjust the shipping cost.
Below is a description from the Ibanez Fandom site ():
The PR1550 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by in 1985.
The PR1550 features a double cutaway alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with an IBZ mounted in a black plastic pickup ring at the bridge and Super 7FT with "tub" style mounts at the neck and middle positions, a Pro Rock'r bridge with a locking nut, knurled metal Tek Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.
Rather than the usual 3-way toggle or 5-way lever pickup selector, the PR1550 has an independent mini-toggle switch paired with each of the three pickups. In addition it has a Duo Sound push-push coil-split switch on the tone control.
The is a similar model with a rosewood fretboard and slightly rounder body contours.
The PR1550 was discontinued after 1985.
