Up for sale in very good condition is a cool Danelectro ‘59 DC in the rare "Daddy-O Yellow" finish, one of the best looking (and no longer available) colors offered on these original reissues. Made in the late 90's in Korea, the MIK models are known for their reliability, craftsmanship, and quality control.
The ‘59 DC is first Danelectro reissue of the famed model 3021, a favorite of both Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton as well as Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd and numerous others. It's a sought after reissue due to its' genuine "Lipstick" single coil pickups with original formula 50’s style Alnico magnets, dual concentric (stacked) tone and volume controls, Dano "coke bottle" headstock, "seal" shaped pickguard, and large hollow inner cavity for the cool open, ringy tones. Other features include the original style chrome bridge with Rosewood saddle, hard Maple neck with Rosewood fretboard, and chrome sealed "D" logo tuners.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with the body exceptionally nice and just has some extremely fine surface scratches; you have to turn in the light to see them. The pickguard just had the original protective plastic film removed so it's in great shape. There are some small blemishes/touch ups on both sides of the headstock (see pics) and some dings/touch ups at the top of headstock. It’s just been freshly restrung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings(9-42) and plays and sounds great. Please let me know if you have any questions.
