Roscoe Century Standard 2014 Tobacco Sunburst over Flame Maple

This Roscoe Century Standard (slightly customized) has been a rock solid bass for years, and it is time for it to find a new home.

3-piece Maple Neck, maple board, Alder body, flame Maple top with “scraped binding”-the dark finish has been removed in a classy pinstripe around the body, giving the bass the look of a laminate layer.

Scale length is 35”

Inside we have an Aguilar OBP-1TK 18v preamp with Treble and Bass Boost on the concentric knobs, pickup blend, passive tone rolloff (operates in either active or passive mode!) and master volume which can be pulled up to put the bass in passive mode.

I replaced the original pickups with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounds for extra punch and definition. Clear as a bell, and the strings lay low and flat.

The fingerboard has good spacing and a generous radius, while the neck keeps a slim profile, giving you that “tabletop” fingerboard feel.

I threw in a fresh set of D’addario ProSteels (45-130) and two fresh 9 volts.

She has seen some action and some professional travel. She has been played and has the occasional imperfection to prove it. If you’d like closer photos of anything let me know.
