The BAD94 is Guitarist/YouTuber Perf De Castro’s signature distortion pedal that captures the sound and feel of his early career guitar solo tones.

The BAD94 builds on the structure of Perf’s early 90s shredded meister pedal of choice, but updated with modern appointments such as top-mounted jacks, true bypass switching and pedalboard-friendly form factor.

Contour control is very characteristic! The direction of the rotation is opposite like a orignal Shredmaster. You can control your sound totally on this knob. That is useful controlers on this pedal.

While the BAD94 shares the same controls (Vol, Gain, Bass, Contour, Treble) as the pedal it’s based on, improvement tweaks like an extended treble end and a more musical gain range from big warm pushed Bluesiness to thick roaring Rock and Alternative Crunch to Singing Liquid Sustain makes it applicable to different musical situations and as versatile as the BAD94 signature namesake. These controls will allow you to adapt the BAD94 to any guitar and any amp and retain the core tone.

Controls:
VOLUME - controls the overall output of the pedal. Unity gain is at 12:00
GAIN - controls the amount of distortion, turn down for pushed Bluesy tones and turn up
for singing sustain
TREBLE - controls the amount of tonal high end to help you dial the pedal according to
your amp. Entire range is usable, turn down to tame a warm up a guitar/amp or turn up
to brighten a dull guitar/amp.
BASS - controls the amount of low end, turn down to tighten the bottom and turn up to
fatten up single coils or smaller amps.
CONTOUR - controls both mids and presence, turn down for mid range bump and turn
up to scoop the mids and add more presence.

Don’t be afraid to explore extreme knob settings with this pedal, if it sounds good then it’s all good! While it’s possible to use as an OD pedal with the gain down to push an already dirty amp, the BAD94 is best used as a primary dirt pedal into a super clean amp tone.
