This is a beautiful Gibson 1959 Reissue “Fat Neck” Dot ES-335 electric guitar. It has a few dings and minor scratches, but nothing serious. It is set up nicely with .10’s and plays great with low action.
There is some minor wear, but nothing out of the ordinary - no major dings. The biggest "flaw" I can find is that the nut has a small chip in it, but this doesn't effect the playability or sound one bit. See photo for detail.
Comes with the original hard case, but there is quite a bit of wear and tear on the case itself from touring to be fully transparent here.
The guitar was bought new in 2008 or so, and I believe it was made in or around 2006. The serial number as shown on the back of the headstock is: 00036725.
There is some history to this guitar, as it is the exact guitar that guitarist Darren Robinson of Phantom Planet used in 2008 during the recording and touring of our fourth studio album, “Raise the Dead”. The guitar is also featured in our music video for “Do the Panic” (as shown in the YouTube video posted in this listing).
The shipping price is $225, which includes professional packaging and tracking. I know it’s expensive, but truly this is what it costs for a 335 to be shipped across the US.
If you live in the LA area, you can avoid all shipping costs and pick it up for free! Message me first if this is helpful for you!
