22" Zildjian from the early-to-mid 70s (pre-hollow logo thin stamp). I am not sure if this is a ride or a large heavy concert cymbal but it doesn't have any noticeable "concert wear" on the underside and appears to have been used as a ride for most of its life (see the keyholing.. no cracks, though.. don't worry). Aside from the very heavy weight, there is some notable scracthing all over the top of the bell, but those are the only things that would hint at this not being a ride (you would need strong arms to use this as a hand cymbal). Anyway, the edges have some nicks and roughness but no notable denting. There's patina and scratches and stickmarks and discoloration and ink fade. MY OPINION ON SOUND: kind of pingy but not super stiff (has some chimey wash coming off of it).. not very high pitched but on the brighter side, I'd say (it's certainly not a low-pitched cymbal). Cymbal opens up pretty nicely as a crash and sounds fairly smooth (somewhat bright) for being a big heavy cymbal.. but it is loud. The bell is also loud and quite strikeable.
