Yamaha PSS-104 is a very rare vintage polyphonic digital toy-synthesizer, made in 1991 in Japan. It offers a distinctive crunchy, lo-fi sound and surprisingly powerful sound engine for a toy keyboard. Add to that a built-in microphone, a system of cartridges and magnetic cards - all that made it a sought after collectors item.
The price includes the PSS-104 with integrated microphone, two original cartridges, 58 original magnetic cards and a power supply.
My particular unit is in really good condition. I personally did the maintenance check recently.
• All the buttons, keys, speakers, microphone, magnetic cards and cartridges are working perfectly.
• All te functions are in 100% working order.
• The chassis is clean and looks great. It is a little bit broken in one corner, which is perfectly visible on the pictures. The broken corner is covered with an andhesive foil that matches the color of the synth, so the broken part is barely visible and well protected.
• Output signal is loud and clear. It has a rather unique lo-fi sound.
Naturally, as expected from an 30 years old instrument, it has some traces of usage, most of them perfectly visible on the pictures. While the instrument is in quite impressive condition, some of the magnetic cards are a little bit more used than others. I checked all of them, and all of them are working, but some of them need to be put in with more care to be read properly by the instrument.
