Replacement pickguard for MIJ Japan made Mustang Bass - various colors

Do you have a Japan made Fender Mustang Bass and need a new or different pickguard? Here it is!

We cut these to order in our shop from a variety of materials and colors. See the list below, and check with us for availability.

This pickguard will ONLY fit Japan made Mustang basses. It will NOT fit instruments made anywhere but Japan. If you don't want holes drilled for the tug bar, let us know.
For $8. extra, this pickguard can be cut with a vintage style 60 degree wide bevel, as seen in the last two photos of the mint green pearl and aged pearl. If you'd like that option, send an offer for 60 bucks, or ask us to send an offer to you.

Next are the black, white, and off-white colors. Our custom laminated 4 ply material is not available anywhere else.

M1. White single ply .090" usually cut with straight, seamed edge
  M1a. White single ply thin .060" cut with straight, seamed edge
M2. White 3 ply, white/black/white
  M2a. "Pinstripe" White 3 ply - custom color! The top white and black layers are much thinner and the third white layer is very thick.
M3. 4 Ply White, W/B/W/B - custom color! Similar to material used on vintage Japanese guitars. A great choice for Gibson electics!
M4. Parchment single ply .090" usually cut with straight, seamed edge
M5. Parchment (off-white) 3 ply
M6. Cream single ply .090" usually cut with straight, seamed edge
M7. Cream 3 Ply, cream/black/cream
M8. Ivory 3 ply, a slightly mint-green off-white
M9. Light Mint Green 3 ply, our standard mint green

M11. Black 1 ply, .090" solid black, usually cut with straight, seamed edge

M16. 4 ply Black, B/W/B/W - custom color! Similar to material used on Japanese electrics of the 1960s and 70s.
M17. 5 Ply Black, the go-to for most Gibson electric pickguards
M18. 5 Ply Black/Cream/Black/Cream/Black Looks like a 5 ply black where the white layers have yellowed

These are "plain" colors laminated on 3 ply white backing, unless otherwise specified

L1. Red 4 ply, a slightly more Fiesta Red color
L2. Red 3 ply with black center, Red/Black/Red
L3. Red 3 ply with white center, Red/White/Red

Next are the various pearloid colors. The Rose, Ruby Red, Lavender, and Teal Blue are custom colors you won't find anywhere else.

P1. "Crystal" White Pearloid, on white/black/white backing. Our brightest, whitest pearloid
P2. WD White pearloid, slightly less bright and more subdued than our other white pearl.

S4. Black Oyster shell pearl, black pearl pattern with subtle hints of color on black/cream/black. A warmer color than black pearloid - custom color!
S5. Steely Gray shell pearl, black and gray pearloid pattern with a slightly blue tone on 3 ply black - custom color!
S6. Copper shell pearl, black and copper colored pattern on black/cream/black - custom color!
S7. Green Confetti, green, gold, and black pearl stripes on white, on 3 ply white backing
S8. Fiesta! light purple and orange pearl stripes on white, on 3 ply white backing
S9. Black Agate pearl, black and gray pearl pattern on 3 ply black - custom color!
S10. Blue Abalone, a faux abalone shell with an overall bluish tone.
S11. Green Abalone, a faux abalone shell pattern with an overall greenish tone. Wild! on black/cream/black backing - custom color!

These are various acrylic materials, all usually finished with a rounded, buffed edge. We are able to source many different colors of cast acrylic on request.

A1. Clear plexi
A2. Frosted plexi
A3. Acrylic Mirror
A4. Dark Red transparent plexi, very dark
A5. Smoke/Bronxe transparent plexi, very dark
A6. White plexi, as used on Rickenbackers
A7. Red plexi, primary red
A8. Faux anodized gold, a thinner flexible material that simulates the look of anodized aluminum.

Various cast materials with natural veriegation. Some of these are fairly transparent and will show screws, cavities, routs, controls, and wiring.
If transparency is not desired, they can be back-painted.

V1. Dark Red tortoise, solid celluloid. 2mm thick. This material will slightly show what is underneath and looks fairly dark if not backed by a light color.
V2. Cast acrylic tortoise. This is a swirled pattern of darker color in a reddish translucent base. This is a 3mm thick material used for archtop pickguards.
V3. Dalmation tortoise, solid celluloid about .1" thick. Only available in smaller sizes, can be laminated to double thickness.
V4. Acrylic Dalmation tortoise laminate. A thin layer of dalmation brown and yellow material between two transparent acrylic sheets.

Various materials with imprinted graphics. we can order a huge variety of graphic printed materials not normally seen on guitars. Go wild!

G1. Snakeskin, available in many colors. This material is .080" thick with a hair cell texture.
