For Sale - a Hammond M2 Organ with bench.

I believe I am the 3rd owner - A friend of mine acquired it from the original owner around 2004, and I purchased it off of him a few years later. It's lived a quiet life, mostly as an aspirational instrument.

The instrument fires up and works well, with the exception of "fussy bass pedals" (Some sustain after release, some cause multiple tones to play - due to plastic pins and the mechanical contacts being a little out of whack)

There are age-appropriate pops, clicks, etc. Aside from the power cord, no modifications to the amp or speaker have been made. Finish is generally fair to good, with drink rings, finish marks, etc commensurate with 70 years of age and the waterfall-style keys are all in good shape. It is a good enough looking instrument to occupy my parent's dining room.

My mom has been diligent in starting it every month (and oiling w/ hammond oil on occasion) to keep the tonewheel oiled and moving and I've always had the shockmount screwed down when moving it.
The M2 ran from '51 to '55 after which it was replaced with the more common M3 (often referred to as a "baby B3"). The M3 includes percussion features, the M2 does not. Otherwise I believe they're the same. I can try to provide photos of the badge and amp, but you can look them up online for more info.
Would need to be picked up in Columbus OH at my parent's house. First floor, and a 3-4 steps to the sidewalk. It's "2 strong people" heavy.
Due to complexity of pickup, etc, instrument is being sold As-Described. If you think this is an instrument for you let's talk and I can provide more info, sound clips, videos, etc. I have a pdf service manual with all schematics that I'd be happy to share as well. I'd prefer to do as much auditioning of this as I can through virtual means due to COVID and location, but if you're serious I can arrange for a time for you to play it.
