Tone City T30
King Of Blues Overdrive T30
Two channel overdrive the channel A is based on the Klon Centaur and channel B is a new design. Tone City are well known for producing some of the world’s best value pedals at prices people thought previously impossible. Now they’re taking on a giant with their King Of Blues pedal which is heavily inspired by the King Of Tone pedal used by musicians all over the world and boy they have done a fine job! Dual Channel Overdrive One of the things that really separates this from other similar pedals is that this is actually a dual channel overdrive. This means you not only have access to a powerful midrange heavy overdrive with Channel A but a fatter and warmer tone as well with Channel B. So for example you would use the midrange focused channel for when you really need to cut above the mix for a solo. While you would most likely use channel B for those more subtle lead moments where you don’t need to be the loudest in the band but still need all of the sustain and response that a decent gain channel gives you. Both of the channels however still have a classic mid gain overdrive tone to them making them perfect not only for blues leads but rock rhythms as well. Simple Setup Some pedals that have two channels get overcomplicated fast as they try to introduce things like a multi band EQ and a whole bunch of other controls you just don’t need. The King Of Blues keeps it simple however, in fact so simple that you can get set up with this pedal on any amplifier within minutes. On both channels you have access to three controls, gain, volume and tone. These are the staples of the overdrive pedal world and are part of what makes this so simple to set up.
