Tone City T32-Model M II
Model M Distortion T32-Model M Marshall style high gain distortion, with boost. Tone City have found their place producing incredible pedals at a cost most people though impossible. Well they are here to impress again with the Model M a classic rock overdrive pedal that emulates one of the worlds most popular amps. Even though Tone City won’t say what they modeled this pedal after I think between the name and the gold/black design we can take a guess at a Marshall style amplifier. Crunch or High Gain Because these classic British amplifiers covered generations of different tones the Model M has tried to model both their crunch and high gain tones. In crunch mode you get all of the classic rock tones that can be found on countless blues and rock records throughout the years. In high gain mode you get a more modern JCM like tone that has a powerful midrange and as the name suggests a lot more gain. This will take you from classic rock to heavy metal and pretty much any point in between so even if you want something heavy this can deliver. Plus with the added boost function you can really take this to another level. Simple Controls When you hear about a pedal with two different gain modes as well as a boost switch your probably think it has a tonne of different knobs and switches. Nope the Model M relies on just a select few controls including Crunch Gain , High Gain Gain, Volume, Tone and Boost. Don’t let you fool this though as you can take the tone from mid boosted classic to scooped mids metal without the need of any other pedals in your rig. This is the New Model M II it is identical as the first version but now they have tamed the squeal the old version had sometimes depending on gain structures. Finally it is here it is quieter and as always it captures Marshall tones BANG ON amazingly.
( Just to be clear on this, the PCB and NEW changes are on this pedal, I am still waiting for the new 2 letter paint job change to come, however the electronics on this pedal ARE of the Model M II ) I have lowered the price for now because of the discepency on the outer paint job.)
