Vintage Alembic F-2B preamp manufactured in Sebastopol, CA. Overall it is in good shape, with the exception of where a previous owner had added holes for send/returns. The preamp is quiet and sounds great.
I'm selling because I'm went the modeler route and don't use it. They run from $1200 (Reverb) to $2,200 (new).
I have mil-spec Sylvania 5751 tubes in it which are a lower gain 12AX7, but are smoother for bass. I will add 2, NOS tubes of the same type.
Technical:
The F-2B contains two independent preamp/tone control sections. The amplification is entirely vacuum tube driven. Outputs are on the back panel: channel A out, channel B out, and a mono out that combines both channels. Due to the tone stack, there is no true "flat" setting, but 2-10-2 is a good approximation.
